We are a tutoring company that focuses on helping students achieve the performance they need to either get into their desired course, or to hit their personal goals. Whether your child is a year 5, who is falling a bit behind in maths, or your daughter, who needs a high ATAR to get into Medicine, we are here to help all outcomes.

Our tutors come to you, so you do not need to leave your study environment and we fit right in. We will help assist whatever you are currently finding most difficult / need refinement in.
As your child sits testing at school, this will provide us a better insight on how they are performing. Therefore we can further refine where to teach and improve their learnings.
As you get closer to the final exams, so does the requirements from our end. We will go over all the content with you based on what you found most difficult to ensure you are ready for the exams.

Academic Tutors has been founded with the purpose of addressing a core issue in the Tutoring industry; there is a lack of communication between parent and tutor on the progression of the child’s learnings. This creates a fundamental issue, as the parent is unaware of the usefulness of tutoring for their child.

We have tutors Australia wide, with a predominate base in Melbourne Victoria. Depending on your area, this will help assist in finding the best tutor for you.
Our initial call is a 10-15 minute conversation to get to know you better, and to understand what you want to achieve with a tutor for your child (assuming you are a parent). This includes; subject, learning style, most difficult areas within the subject and other factors, such as general difficultly / most important areas of improvement required.Â
As a parent, you may want to know how your student is progressing, outside of base testing provided by the school.

We provide the opportunity for your child to do a monthly test (VCAA style test), to see how they perform over the last month’s worth of content learnt.

This gives both you and us better opportunity to learn about their strengths and weaknesses and where to continue teaching best.Â
The first session with the tutor is on us. We do not want you to pay for this. We just want to see if the tutor works for you, so we both know that it is a great learning partnership to be had!
We are open to payment in whatever way is best for you. We are happy to issue an invoice, or we can be paid in person, whichever solution is best for you.Â
